St Francis of Assisi Parish in Shefford

Lord Jesus, you have power over all things, and you will never let the storms of life overwhelm us. Help us to trust in you in times of trouble, so that you can bring us the peace and the strength that this world cannot give.

DAILY SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
This Spiritual Exercise is recommended by Canon Bennie and Deacon Peter

Our Bishop David writes:

The Reinstallation of Public Acts of Worship Announced by the Prime Minister on 23rd June.
Naturally we welcome this news whilst also understanding the challenges it presents to many of you and your parish teams.
Firstly, there is no obligation on any of you to reinstate public acts of worship if your church buildings do not permit the safety regulations to be followed.
I would also remind you that the dispensation for not attending Sunday mass,
granted by the Bishops, is still in force so there is no obligation on your parishioners to attend a Sunday mass.
. . . see the Newsletter for more.

OUR CHURCH IS CLOSED UNTIL THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS HAS EASED SUFFICIENTLY TO ALLOW US TO CONTINUE OUR WORSHIP TOGETHER.
BUT SEE THE
NEWSLETTER ABOUT PRIVATE PRAYER
Do note that you can watch various masses on the internet when they take place. See the St Peter's Church website for some examples.

The Roman Catholic Parish of Shefford and surrounding villages, St Francis's is part of the Diocese of Northampton.
